Dr. Le-Chau has been practicing as a licensed Clinical Psychologist for over 15 years and her clinical practice incorporates Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based treatments; which include Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  Dr. Le-Chau is also certified in Somatic Experiencing (SE), which is a short-term naturalistic approach to the resolution and healing of trauma.

If you have anxiety, take deep breaths in sync with this moving image to help you focus on your breathing sensations in your body.  You are now in your body, not outside of it.  I hope you find this a helpful additional resource to regulate your nervous system, and anxiety.  As with any recommendation, if you find this not helpful, take a step back and take a break.

If you are interested in reconnecting and being present with your breath throughout the day check out Do As One and enter the Universal Breathing Room. This website is free and when you enter this breathing room there is an option to set the amount of time that you are guided by an auditory and visual breath synchronized to a 5 second inhalation and 5 second exhalation. A chime will indicate the end of your timed breath awareness period.  I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy your natural breath of life. Please note, anyone experiencing breathing problems and/or under medical care please consult with your doctor before engaging in any breathing exercise.
